[$55] 4-handed at level 3 hand
These guys were going to attack my blinds non-stop, so I decided to defend it. I didn't think Villain had me dominated.
I want to know what you think of the hand and also what's your approach to having the bubble coming so soon when you're the shortstack and when you have a healthy one. Do you open up because it's 4-handed or do you wait for the blinds to go up? I think I may have been the villain in this one.

I guess I'd fold, but I really wasn't expecting him to go OTP.

Re: [$55] 4-handed at level 3 hand
Yeah... This was the first time I got to the bubble in level 3, I just didn't know what to do.
Just waiting for the blinds to go up would eat a good part of my stack, and I didn't know what was better in this spot. |

Re: [$55] 4-handed at level 3 hand
I think that the line that you took was the worst possibility. What I would do here really depends on my specific read. Against some players I will just call, otherwise I'm raising so much that I'm pot committed to call a reraise or push any flop, or just push preflop to beging with. I'll usually only reraise when I'm confident that the miniraise is weakness.

Well, that was my point: I was pretty confident that the min-raise meant weakness.

Re: [$55] 4-handed at level 3 hand
This seems like an interesting hand.
You have 20BB, so even though you are down to 4 players you don't need to commit yourself with a hand like A9o. A call here is good, because you can make a pot sized bet on the flop without destroying your stack. Your raise essentially puts you all in if you bet anything on the flop. J |
