Slowplay hand?
Is it standard to slowplay a hand like this, or just very fishy? Or does it depend on your style/image?

Re: Slowplay hand?
love the fact they hit a straight!
your slow play paid-off beautifully. I would tend to pop the turn in these situations. This is because I want to get as much value from the hand as possible. I would be hoping a flush draw would call for one bet and then hit their flush. Does this drive them out too often? Cheers, the Real Macoy |

Re: Slowplay hand?
No way in hell am I betting a lock like this HU on the flop. Turn, maybe, but I don't think the 2 picked him up anything he wants to call. This did end up working out great for you as he hit his straight and paid off nicely.

Re: Slowplay hand?
I normally just bet these.
Against a good player, it just looks really obvious when you raise preflop and then check a flop like that. When I see normally aggresive players doing this, it just makes me much more inclined to fold. Against a bad player, sometimes they call you down with ace high. On your good days, they have a 5 and you get payed off big. |
