Poker in Europe?
Hey folks,
I know there have been some threads about it, but most of them are old or dont contain much information. Does someone know anything about Poker in the cities: - Amsterdam - Berlin - Hamburg - Prague - Vienna Like which games they offer, how regularly they go etc... I'm most interested in NL Holdem and tournaments, but would play limit holdem, pot-limit omaha or even limit omaha too. Oh and I need to know how high the stakes are, and how good/bad the gameplay is. I'm a 1/2 NL 6-max player on the internet, never played live, have a huge bankroll though. |

Re: Poker in Europe?
Amsterdam has a couple of poker tables and the Hollands Casino... 10/20 limit if I remember correctly. Near the Leidseplein area. Pretty nice casino in a pretty area.

Re: Poker in Europe?
Limit Hold'em with stakes of Euro 5/10 is spread in Schenefeld (a suburb of Hamburg, easy to reach if you're in Hamburg) on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Linky
I do not know about the rake structure or about the action. You can reach them at bl.schenefeld@casino-sh.de They won't let you in without your passport. Should you be seriously considering to pay them a visit, please tell me, as I might get an opportunity to have a look at the game beforehand (I won't play in it as the stakes are above my br). Every Friday and Saturday they offer free poker lessons from 1930 until 2030. The game might be pretty funny thereafter. Linky Let me utter the assumption, that german poker regulars in most cases will have problems with the english language and therefore might have problems reading 2+2 publications. Hm, on second thought they might have problems reading at all... |
