Baseball and the wildcard
So we've had this thing for a while now. I cant remember if it was controversial when it came out or if anyone was against it.
I think its one of the best things baseball has done. Anyone out there not like the wildcard? rJ |

NL teams are built for the pitcher hitting, AL teams for a DH. Yet there is interleauge play now to think about, putting the visiting team at an inherant disadvantge. |

But the rule gives each league a separate identity, something you don't see in other sports. I think that makes interleague play (of which I'm not a big fan), and especially the WS a bit more intriguing. |
