flopped set - but does he have hearts
Stars $25 6-max
I've been at the table for a few orbits. Haven't gotten into any big hands yet. Showed down a small bluff one time. I have seen villain playing some questionable hands, and has built up his stack making thin calls against short stacks with TPWK. At the end of the session he was 40% VP$IP. Villain has $75, I have $25. Villain opens for .75 from MP. All fold to me I call in the SB with black QQ. Pot: $1.75 Flop is QK2 all hearts. I bet out $1. Villain raises to $3.50. I make it $10. He thinks for a bit and pushes. Now what? Thoughts on my PF and flop play. Thanks. |

Re: flopped set - but does he have hearts
bump it up pf to $3. Bet somewhere around 3/4 pot on the flop and if you get played back at go with it.
As it played pf, you have 2 options: 1) Just call his flop raise and then c/r him huge on a non heart board 2) Go with it on the flop and put all the money in expecting to see A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]X or AK. If he flopped the flush, you have outs. |

Call. You're likely to see KxAh and you still have a lot of odds to boat up against his flush draw. If he has KK, reload and go on.

Re: flopped set - but does he have hearts
You are already getting better than 2:1 on your money, so even when he has the flush you are getting decent pot odds to call. This call is even pretty easy imo, situations like this are much more complex if stacks are deeper.
PF i would reraise against an opponent like you described, unless you have hardly reraised before. |

Re: flopped set - but does he have hearts
you've gotta get it all in here....you are probably ahead, the times you aren't you have quite a few FH outs. You win 70% of the time you are ahead of the naked draw, and you win 35% of the time you are behind....makes it a pretty easy call in my opinion.

Re: flopped set - but does he have hearts
He may only have the A flush draw and paired his other card. Add the fact that your redraw is 6 or 7 outs on the turn then 9or10 on the river.. I call

Re: flopped set - but does he have hearts
Preflop. RERAISE BIG. Make it 3.5 to go.
Flop, perfect, now call his all in. You are getting odds if behind to fill up and you can be ahead here a good bit of the time. |

Preflop. RERAISE BIG. Make it 3.5 to go. [/ QUOTE ] ah yes.. forgot about that.. as played it's a pretty easy call, but you definitely need to be reraising this pf. |
