Default Gas Prices

What is the current price of gas in your area? I asked my boss to check when he went to grab lunch, and this is what he handed me when he got back.

Filled up for $2.65 this morning. Very weird. There were two places directly across the street from each other with an $.08 difference in price.

i don't give a sh1t. i really doubt anyone in here is so poor that gas prices really affect them that much. there's nothing we can do about it, so there is no reason to bitch about it.

You are correct, there isn't much you can do about it. I drive to/from work 80 miles round trip 6 days a week. That's a lot of miles, and many people drive more than that.

That said, I find the differences in gas prices across the country interesting. There is a big difference just along my commute of up to $.2/gal.

Except that higher gas prices will drive up the cost of everything you buy, not just gas. These things add up.

Indeed. Being in the toold and die industry which does a lot of automotive work is like a triple whammy.

Cost of steel. Cost of resin which effects the molders who are my customers. Cost of everything which effects the automakers which effects the molders, and on and on and on.

If you want to talk energy policy and how we could solve the problem in the long run, that's fine. But just bitching about gas prices is pointless. There are plenty of pointless posts in OOT, but at least some of them have nudity/enternainment value.

Might I suggest a mild laxitive?

I'm not bitching, I'm curious about what range of prices the ootiots are currently paying, as many of us are spread across the world.
