Best way to approach this turn?
I don't deal with these spots too well vs the raise or fold type.
I hate my preflop play now, and am much better at avoiding these type of situations now(hand is from this summer). 10/20 live game, I open limp in MP with AJs. Play was pretty passive at this point-my crappy justification at the time. Young swede who has won a decent amount without showing down a hand yet makes it 100. I call, HU. Flop something like 974, flush draw, but not mine. check check. Turn is a jack. He is the raise or fold type, what is my best plan now? Effective stacks around 3500. |

Re: Best way to approach this turn?
IF hes the raise/fold type, does he really check the flop with an overpair/set when the board is looking rather mildly drawable?
when i play like this i dont look to give any free cards on any street. 1/2 pot the turn. and dont get called, or raised for that mettter. |

Re: Best way to approach this turn?
Check/call turn and donk/fold river? I can't imagine him not stabbing with AK/AQ here if you check, but I can certainly see him raising.
I'm liking the c/c then d/f line. |

Re: Best way to approach this turn?
One bump, then I let it die if no interest.
Betting here can't be good when I know I'm going to get raised 75% of the time. Consider a check raise? Not crazy about that either, but just check calling has to be the worst option. |

Re: Best way to approach this turn?
whoaaaa....
does anyone else here have a problem calling 5BB raises OOP with AJs??? I get mad at myself for making the same call with AQ sooted. I feel like the reverse implied odds are huge here. |

Re: Best way to approach this turn?
your play is fine so far.
PREFLOP IS FINE. bet/push or check/call the turn. id checkcall most of the time. |
