How do you play 99 here?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (3 handed) converter
Hero (t2290) BB (t4430) Button (t1280) Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Hero ???? So, what do I do? I have about 15xBB so pushing seems to be rather extreme. I have about a t1000 lead over the small stack and really don't want to raise since the big stack would probably call with almost any 2 cards. Unless I flop a set I'd be in trouble with any over cards on the board. Or do I just complete? If just checks, do I just check postflop unless I make my set? What if the flop is 842r? If he raises preflop, do I push then? |

Re: How do you play 99 here?
Raise to 400 and either call or fold to a push depending on what sort of player the big stack is.

I push. It sounds like you are just wanting to hang around waiting for the small stack to bust out...thats a dangerous mindset unless small stack is literally 1xBB. |

learn how to play postflop, def raise and call a push, 99 is way too big a hand to get away from here.
