Default I could only win a pot this big at InterPoker (low content)

Hi

I just had to share this enormous pot I won thanks to the unlimited raises possible in heads up situations at InterPoker.

Button was very loose and aggressive post flop. My final turn call was probably a bit weak, but he could easily have had A5 or 65.

When the river paired the board I was certain I was winning. Surely he could'nt have 22. I kept picturing this hand in my head but I was determined to keep on raising.

I wonder what the button held, A5D seems the only logical hand but I suspect he could have had a much weaker hand than this.

This is by far the biggest pot I have ever won as my normal maximum limit is $1-$2. I am only playing $2-$4 (I have sufficient bankroll) to enable me to clear the new bonus requirements at InterPoker. Must say I do not find the $2-$4 tables any tougher than the $1- $2 tables.

Has anyone else won a huge pot thanks to Inter Pokers unlimited raises?

no offense, but you lose this pot more often than you win it

What a fantastic insight based on your intricate knowledge of the opponent.

your opponent has to be borderline mentally retarded to give this much action with the 9th nuts or whatever it is

you only have the second nuts

I'd expect to see A5, 56, 44, or 33 much much much more often than 22.

So you wouldn't go all in with this hand in no limit on the river?

On the river? You're nuts.

I should have pointed out that button was losing about 70% of his showdowns. He would call on rubbish and raise with marginal hands. Obviously he had made a very good hand by the turn, but I figured I was winning this hand way more often than I was losing it.

Your post is a fine example of weak-tight thinking.

I've played in many games where it wasn't at all uncommon to go 6 bets on the turn and another 8 on the river, with neither party having the nuts.

If the opponent is a rock, he can safely stop earlier, but if his opponent is a gambler, he should be prepared to play a very large pot.

I once raised 55 preflop and the flop was 5-Q-A with two clubs. Lot's of 3 way action on the flop. Turn was another club. Lot's of 3-way action with the third party dropping out at the 3rd bet and me not capping the third bet but calling (chicken me!). River was a 5! I hover over the raise button to get in the auto click mode. Click, click, click, ???? - button vanishes!!!

I forgot to monitor my stack! I just could get 3.5 bets in and was down to 0!

Villain had the nut full house and thought I had the nut flush! He had 25 BB left.

Me: Damn!
Him: You could have become rich here!
