I think the idea is, if you cap pre flop, and an over card flops, you can give your opponent more credit if he plays back at you. By capping pre flop, you have indicated you have a premium hand, if an ace or a king now flops, you bet and your opponent raises, chances are your opponent now has top pair and you can let go of your jacks. At least thats what I think is meant by being easier to play.

The only thing I would do different is to cap it pre-flop.
