Just closed Empire account and they want to know why - advice please
I just emailed empire telling them that I want them to close my account. This is because I signed up through a rake back affiliate for Eurobet. However, I want to sign up with empire again with a rake back affiliate in 6 months or so, so I can play the MTT and accumlate their e-points.
They sent me an email asking me why I closed it so they can further their future customer service. What should I tell them? Should I just say that I want to sign up again at a later date through an affiliate with rake back offers? Or should I ask them if I can just immediately sign up a new account through an affiliate? Or should I just not mention anything about rake back? Thanks. |

Just tell them you closed the account for personal reasons.

I'm pretty sure closing your account to re-open it with an affiliate is frowned upon and should not be mentioned to Empire.

I don't understand why they would care if you signed up through an affiliate? Wouldn't they rather have your business than no business at all?
On that note, how long do I have to wait after closing the account before I can open one with an affiliate? Thanks. |

Tell them you have a gambling problem. They will close it immediately.

Re: Just closed Empire account and they want to know why - advice please
Just make a slight exaggeration on some point you wish they would change.
ie. the rake is too high, compared to pokerstars, or the costumer service. or you don't like how they move the button when the small blind sits out, and it skips you for a whole rotation when you are trying to post in the big blind. |

[/ QUOTE ] Make it something Empire can change if you do this. They are just a skin and don't control the rake or the button movement. In case Party is reading this thread, let me make a more precise and easy suggestion about the button: If a player is using the wait-for-BB feature and the BB skips past him without giving him an opportunity to post, he should be promoted to post as soon as the button has passed him. When I played full ring I often turned the wait-for-BB feature off before the blind reached me. No doubt I wasted people's time (including my own) and slowed the game down. But it was the only way I could protect myself from missing a full orbit when the SB or button unexpectedly sat out. Implementing this suggestion would improve game speed and your bottom line. |
