What's with Evelyn Ng?

What's with Evelyn Ng? Ok, so she's hot, I'll give her that. Nothing like a hot poker pro. But, why is she everywhere? Poker camps, guest appearences, guest commentating, poker game spokeswoman... read her bio here and you'll understand why I'm writing this post. It's funny, everyone else on Stacked has like 4 career highlight bullet-points. I don't get it. What has she accomplished? I've seen her play in one WPT final table, and I think it was by invite, ladies only. I've never seen her make a final able of a major tournament. Infact, I think I've seen more tv coverage of her doing chip tricks than dragging pots. I just don't get why she's so hyped up! Nothing against her, but if she's just your run-of-the-mill cash game pro, then that's what she is. I mean, that's great and all, but let's hype up a female that has actually has a resume of accomplishments. Unfortunately for Kathy Liebert, she ain't the cutest cookie in the jar otherwise she'd be all over the place! How about Liz Lieu, she made the final table of event #2 at this year's WSOP. That's more than Evelyn can boast, AND she's hot too, check her out here ! Stay tuned for my next post "What's with 'The Crew'" and why was ESPN all over them like flies on sheeit last year. Scott Fischman IS the crew, who are these other guys? Nobody.

Good point. But this isn't about me, this is about the Evelyn Ng hype machine. Let me turn the question back on you. How many other 37th place finishers do you see getting all the press she is? C'mon, 37th at a WSOP undercard? You gotta do better than that. I'm ok with her being hyped-up simply because she's a hot female pro. But let's call a spade a spade then.

Actually, east is east to a certain point, then east becomes west.

lol. what exactly does this mean? have you ever seen Ng in real life? She's pretty hot. Although she has gone down hill a little bit over the past couple years. Maybe you don't like her because she is a big framed girl?

Lame. That's not what poker is about. I guarantee you she'd rather win a tournament, a ring, than be the token "hyped-up over-rated hotty poker pro." Trust me, it ain't earnin her much respect at the table either. "Oh, Evelyn Ng, what's up? Damn, you are hot! What, you're re-raising me? Oh ok yeah. I saw you do that on that one Ladies Night Invite tournament and you folded like 10 times after someone did this... I re-raise all in."

Beauty is all subjective Boris and yes I have seen her in RL life when I played with her in Toronto a few years back. She is NOT all that hot, though I do admit she is a big framed girl.

Liz is on the hand constitutes what most Asian men find attractive in a asian women - bigger rounder eyes, higher cheekbones, and a very cute doll like look.
