Help me get inside this fish\'s mind
I noticed a player on Full Tilt the other day, a micro limit player (.5/1) playing badly (stop the presses) and by badly I mean really badly.
We're talking 90% + VPIP, cold calling 2, 3, and capped betting. Calling down with any pair, any 2 face cards, etc. This person never said a word, dropped like 50 BB, rebought and lost another 50 BB (I took a break in between but they played for about 4+ hours straight). So anyway I log on again today and lo and behold they are playing, they've moved down to .25/.50 but their play is 100% the same. They play almost every hand, regardless of the betting, and see every card to the river. They went from $20 to bust (40 BB) rebought up to $60, I went to the grocery store and came home just now (probably over an hour) and lo and behold this person is still playing and is currently down to $20 (another 80 BB loss). So what's the deal? How can someone without serious brain damage be doing this? |

Re: Help me get inside this fish\'s mind
maybe he's figuring out how he shouldn't play, or trying to figure out how other people play their hands be seeing every river, naw he's prolly just an idiot

Down to $10, this is very amusing watching, I wonder if they are going to rebuy....

So what's the deal? How can someone without serious brain damage be doing this? [/ QUOTE ] How can someone without serious brain damage keep feeding slot machines or playing roulette? True, there is a bigger chance of catching a 'score' at one of those, but it does not take long to get further behind than you can possibly catch up. The reasons will vary with the individuals as to actually why. |

I'd guess that $1000 to him is like 10 cents to me.

So what's the deal? How can someone without serious brain damage be doing this? [/ QUOTE ] I'd say so. I played with someone pretty close to that on a 2/4 6m table the other day. She was 85VPIP and went to show down 50%. She was mostly very passive post flop and usually didn't bet or raise with less than two pair. In the 2.5 hours I played with her, she won $260 (+41BB/100) including $25 off of me. |
