Low trips in BB
Absolute $2/4 9 handed
Villain is semiloose with 27/8/3 after 175 hands Hero is BB with [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 2 folds, UTG2 call, 1 fold, villain call, Co folds, BUT call, SB calls, Hero checks. Flop (4.5 SB)5 players [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 Hero bet, UTG2 folds, Villain raise, 2 folds, hero 3-bet, Villain caps. Figured he had a Q, flush draw going for a free card, or perhaps 76/65 i.e. trips with a lower kicker. Turn (7 BB) [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3 Hero bet, Villain raise, Hero 3 bet, villain call. The turn didn't change anything. River (13 BB) [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 Hero bet, villain calls. Again, save for a backdoor flush, the river was a blank, so decided to keep up the aggression, believingto be ahead the majority of time. All comments welcome. |

Re: Low trips in BB
I probably play this hand the same way. At $2/4, it is not often you find players betting very strong holdings right out on the flop like that. What hand other than A6s could villain be limping in with in the hijack? I guess with 27% VP$IP it could be K6 but I don't see Q6 (villain is definately not slowing down with the made boat) or J6. I do sometimes see people go nuts with just top pair.

Unless you have a read that this guy is a super aggro donk, why is he capping the flop and raising the turn with a queen when it is HU? I think he turns over a6 or k6 or q6s like 2/3 of the time here. |
