Re: lots of 30/60 hands
Hand 1: Looks good. I might just check-call the river if he would bet a draw he picked up on the turn one more time.
Hand 2: I assume you are just giving up here. This is a spot where I am prone to throwing away a BB since I "can't win by checking". Hand 3: This is another one that I pay off every time but I have yet to see enough river bluffs to make it worthwhile. If he slowplayed his set to the river then good for him. Or maybe he has a Q and knows you won't 3-bet but would pay off with any pair. Hand 4: Looks good. Hand 5: With two opponents I have no idea what to do here on the river. I think your line makes a lot of sense but part of me wants to just check-fold. |

Re: lots of 30/60 hands
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you plan on bet/calling the river in hand 1, isn't it better to just 3-bet the turn?

Sometimes it can be better to stop'n'go in order to avoid putting in more bets than you want to... Here, hero knows this line will assure a showdown for no more than 4 and no fewer than 3 bb... That's not to say that the concept is correctly applied in this specific hand, but there are times when stopping and going can be better for "bet control" reasons. |

Hand 1: Overplayed by 1 bet, check call the river.
Hand 4: I would bet the turn. |

Re: lots of 30/60 hands
Hand 1: my SOP would be to check/call the river. I think a 50/25 is rarely checking behind here, and I would like exactly 1 bet to go in. Is your idea to induce raises from worse hands? I think unless you have a read that you're generally not in good shape if 2 bets go in on this river.
Hand 2: can I assume you are check/folding riv? I think this line is fine though lately I have been liking a turn checkraise more since you sometimes have the best hand + outs + some semibluffing equity especially on certain turns. Player dependent. Hand 3: I can go either way on the river. I think calling's fine as a default. Hand 4: Your decisions don't seem to jive in this hand. Not sure why you checkraised flop if you aren't going to follow through on a card that's quite good for you. River I think is very feel based. It's AT vs. how likely he is to slowplay a monster like this. Don't think I could fault you for either choice. Hand 5 looks standard. Protected pot, not a bluff or low club on river. Good fold. |

Final Pot: 8.25 BB [/ QUOTE ] With such a strong flop I think some consideration should be given to leading out as you'll occassionally take down the pot by inducing an incorrect fold, and if you get raised it's certainly not a disaster. I'm not sure what the plan is by checkraising the flop and then checking the turn--could you explain this play? On the river I would 3-bet without much hesitation but maybe I shouldn't. |
