So my windows machine has been freaking out lately. So I decided to try to install Empire Poker on my linux box running Slackware 10.1. I downloaded and installed the latest version of wine. HERE & Empire poker.
I installed the linux package. <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre> bash-3.00# installpkg Wine-20050725-i486-S10.1-nodebug.tgz </pre><hr /> And installed Empire poker using wine: <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre> bash-3.00# wine EmpirePokerSetup.exe </pre><hr /> Some things don't work just right and it complains a bit ( about not having IE ), but it worked just fine. I played a couple of hands and won a little money. If there is interest I'll take some screen shots. -TheSanch |

Nice! I have Paradise running great under Wine, although I did have to change some of the default graphics and sound settings. Never tried any others because Poker Tracker never worked. I wonder if it would now with PostgreSQL?
PA HUD prolly wouldn't jive either, and I can't give up that. Dual-boot for me... |

I'm amazed. I really thought VMWare would be necessary.
