Re: ever look back and think, why?? 50NL
I don't know if this is so bad, you represent an ace or king high flush and I highly doubt anyone who cant beat that is going to continue.
I would immediately toss AA, KK, QQ with no spade here. I would also toss a few spades higher then your 8. I wouldnt of done this myself, but It might not be a bad play at all. There are ton of hands that beat you that are going to fold. Also, youve done everything in your power to win this and now you can fold with 100% confidence that you are beat if theres anymore actino. |

Re: ever look back and think, why?? 50NL
I raise with 88 here quite often, unless the table is particularly loose. The c/r you made is not bad because it perfectly mimics the line of a true monster, Like has already been elucidated, any more and you drop. This is a tough situation though. I doubt leading is going to treat you any better in the long run, on the upside the amount of your turn overbet was spot on

I raised 88 too, but on that turn, I lead again and make him have the balls or the cards to win the pot.

Re: ever look back and think, why?? 50NL
I like it.
Your PF raise allows you to lead that flop, repping AK with a spade. Your flop bet then leads nicely into the turn where you can represent A or K high flush looking for action. I like the check raise a lot. Having one hand but playing another, nicely done. |

Re: ever look back and think, why?? 50NL
You are only getting called by the A or K of [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and some hands that beat you will fold. Of course you have to check fold the river if called but you can do so sure that you are beat.

Re: ever look back and think, why?? 50NL
nh sir. A lot of pressure on villian and he can't call you without the As or Ks or a set. Oh yeah, the real reason I responded to your thread was to inform you that:
The Bears Suck. That is all. |
