Headed to Foxwoods today (Friday)

Another 2+2er talked me into taking the day off from my temp job and experiencing the wonder of the Connecticut woods instead. I'll be researching for my dissertation on how the pre-colonial Mashantucket Pequots played $1-2 no limit and $4/8 limit. If research goes poorly I might also delve into their gaming habits at $2/4. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Research is expected to continue into the early hours of Saturday.

I'm wearing a blue t-shirt that says "PALOMINAS" and camo shorts, and I'll probably have a $10 Borgata chip holding my cards. Come say hi if you see me.

If by "sucks" you mean "the 5/10 kill game is so soft that a forty-two year old psychologist can win $775 over twenty hours while drinking shots of tequila"--then I agree, it sucked over the past two days.

It's big and the games seem good, but the room is run like crap and is a total zoo. Also, hold em games above 20-40 are non-existant, the dealers suck and the players are kinda irritating. Like the hotel though...good restaurants. [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

I would second this -- they have serious communication issues that derive from growing so rapidly. Heaven forbid you be standing 15 meters from the podium when they call your name; no matter how loud you scream "Lock it up!!!!" you just lost your seat, pal.

Gee, I wonder why it's always so crowded around the podium.

Some of the dealers are good, and many of the floors are good. I don't tip the good dealers better, but I do give them another kind of "tip": move to AC or Vegas so you can keep your tokes.

Heh, I've got a friend of a friend that used to deal at Foxwoods who packed up his family of 4 and moved to Vegas, primarily for this very reason. The make off tokes at the Woods must absolutely suck.
