At the signing of $417 billion defense bill Bush said:
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." Sure it was probably a slip of the tongue, but most such slips are grounded in reality. |

It's no worse than the language, grammar, and structure of most 2+2 books I've read.
Perhaps W needs to preface his speeches with "A Note on the English." |

If you're going to criticism someone's communication skills in less than 40 words, try to make less than three typos in the process. [/ QUOTE ] Well, you've got 2 left, so I guess you're in the clear. There is also a difference between making a typo and making a grammatical/logical non sequitor. I think the original poster was making the point that the President should be held to a higher standard. Since the original poster was not the President, or for that matter an elected official, he is not caught in any logical trap himself. NT |

Its not my job not to make typos.
Is it yours to be pedantic and/or posit flimsy diversions from the real issue re : is Bush a moron? My english skills are hardly relevant to the above are they. |

My favorite part of the "Note" is that it begins with a grammar error.
Honestly, 2+2 isn't as bad as some of the Cardoza stuff I've seen. Mike Cappelleti (A Note on the Spelling: I apologize if I misspelled his name, but I'm not a professional speller.) has a great line somewhere in his Omaha 8 book. "In one word: pull, don't push with this hand!" One word, Mike, not six. |

I agree, it is pretty unreasonable to expect the leader of the free world to have at least a high school level grasp of the English language. Gansters in the hood speak the same level of English, why should we expect more from the Yale educated President?
