Default Heads Up For UK Viewers

Finally, after several weeks of old re-runs, Challenge is starting the 2004 WSOP broadcasts from Sunday (19th September).

Soon, we might have a clue what all the posts on this forum are talking about!

Hi Sheriff,

Do you know if they are showing all the shows (Razz, Stud...) or just the main event?

The ad shows scenes from the $1k rebuy event, so I'm guessing they're showing at least some of the earlier events, if not all of them.

I think the ad referred to 'wider coverage' or 'extended coverage' (or something similar) and included shots of James Vogl so I think we're getting the whole thing.

I'm looking forward to the other events. It should at least stop my girlfriend screaming at the TV every time a 'how to play No-Limit Holdem' piece comes on!

I assumed it was starting soon with all the reruns.

I think the VC cup starts later this month as well, so we are being treated quite well with the Heads Up show ands the not so good gaming club one.

The heads up programme shows how bad and amatuarish the Gaming club one has been, although I did enjoy last weeks commentary from Hellmuth (except for him saying "let me tell you somthing" before every sentence) he brought a good insight to the game.

I thought Lucy Rokash's commentary was good this week. Paul 'Dot Com' Phillips is also doing a surprisingly good job on the Heads Up shows.

I agree that her voice and Jonathan 'Woss' pronunciation isn't ideally suited to commentary but her analysis was spot on throughout the show. I found the latter to be much more important.

PS: Having done a couple of Fanzone football commentaries on Sky in the past I can vouch that commentary is not the easiest thing in the world to do!

You have gone down in my estimations, it is the most pointless part of skys coverage I cant beleive anyone listens to it except the mates and families of those taking part. The bits I have heard ends up a screaming match and the people saying come on my son rather than trying to do anyform of commentary. I think now as well the people on it are competing to be the most idiotic.

May I ask why that sentence includes that particular adverb?
