2+2\'er gets pwned trying to slowplay (marginal content)
Just a funny hand I thought I would post. I'm pretty sure this was a 2+2'er, as his name closely resembles one from the Micro boards, but it may not be. Do you feel like fessing up to slowplaying the flopped nuts on a very draw-heavy board? Would any of you slowplayed in this situation? It's not like I was going anywhere if raised, so there wasnt much he could have done, but still, you get what I'm trying to say.

I think your flop bet really really sucks, FWIW, and he played his hand pretty well.

Flop bet sucks?
Why is the flop bet poor? and whats a better line. I dont really understand what's wrong with it.

Re: Flop bet sucks?
I agree. you're aggressively building a pot with two nut draws and other draws that will probably still win.

12 outs to the nuts with 2 cards to come, plus a bet for some information as to where I may be standing as it is. You don't like it?

The only reason you bet here is because A) you think you have the best hand, or B) you can make a better hand fold. Neither is the case here. Rob |

I thought you don't always need the best hand to bet for value.

I thought you don't always need the best hand to bet for value. [/ QUOTE ] True, but you need to have the combination fold equity + drawing power + already ahead power to win the pot more than half the time. Hero doesn't have it here. |
