I do not believe in god but the 10 commandments are the basis of civil law that led to todays society.

I don't think all ten of the commandments are used in civil law.
There is no requirement to worship the almighty god in civil law. There is no prohibition against idolatry in civil law. Coveting your neighbor's posessions is one of the main engines of today's economy. The laws against adultery are relaxed or abolished everywhere. |
