8-table set up-new pc-help?
First of all, im not completely computer illiterate, but close to it.
in a month or so im going to venture beyond 4-tabling. My current PC does not have this capability as i'm one "hookup" short. Are my options 1) buying a video card with 2 "hookups" 2) buying a new pc with said video card? Im leaning towards buying a new pc anyways just to have a sep. pc for poker. If new pc is my desired option, how much am i looking at spending (im seeing plenty of cheap <$500 desktops on dells website). PC will only be used for poker, but must be able to hook up to 2 2001 dell fp's. What are some things that this pc MUST have (minimum requirements etc) I did a search and didn't find what i was looking for. If some1 does have a link answering these questions, i would appreciate the link. thanks. |

Re: 8-table set up-new pc-help?
almost any new video card that you buy will allow for dual output, so you can plug 2 monitors in.
if you want to have both 2001's through DVI, then you'll need to find a video card that has dual DVI of course, and that will be more expensive. If you're not worried about that though, then a regular dual outlet one will be pretty cheap. |

This has nothing to do with your question about hardware but I would like to recommend you to use a software called Fold'em when going beyond 4 tabling. It will just fold bad starting hands for you but by doing that you can focus more on playing at the other tables. www.fold-em.com
