Default Conservative talk radio in hysteria over Fahrenheit 9/11

In certain parts of the country, conservative talk radio is all that exists. It's hilarious to listen to them imitate the wizard of oz behind the current. I can just see them shouting "Don't listen to that little man behind the curtain."I've heard many hosts that have lied more in 5 minutes than any Moore innuendo in the entire film. They are panicked at the thought that Bush could lose.

I still believe that the Bush brothers will steal Florida again, and any other state where the apparatchiks hold sway.

If Kerry wins by more than 5% nationwide, then I believe that even "fair and balanced Fox news" would have to report a less than .5% Kerry victory.

It's really sad that so many people listen to these conservative talk show hosts as if they were an actual serious source of news. Rush Limbaugh is probably the most popular talk show host in the history of the world, but how can anyone take him seriously? My answer is that most of his followers listen to him as their only source of "news" and "viewpoints", therefore anyone that disagrees is a "lib." Most of his followers have no other source of information than him.

If Limbaugh's listeners are as enlightened and intelligent as they claim to be, why is it that anytime someone wants to discuss an opposing viewpoint with them, they resort to spouting off crap they heard on the Limbaugh show? If these people are so smart, why do they need a fat, self-absorbed, dopehead hypocrite to formulate their viewpoint for them?

What is sad is Rush can talk about some crazy idea or concept like "ABC", and then the next day I will hear a bunch of people parroting the "ABC" line.

Like, "How's the weather?"
"Yeah, well, what about ABC!"

What's worse, if you can get them off the point of "ABC" and try to bring up "DEF", they don't know how to respond or what to say. They have to wait until the next day's show for Rush to program them on the proper response, they can't think for themselves.

Like most other "conservatives", you offer no information of value. Just crap. I find it very curious that you use the word "libs", since this is a word Rush spouts it off a couple hundred times every show. You are obviously one of his parrots.

Why is this? It's not for a lack of liberals trying, that's for sure. There have been several respectable liberals who tried out for talk radio:
Mario Cuomo (former Dem. NY mayor)
Jim Hightower (former TX ag. commissioner)
Alan Dershowitz (Harvard Law prof.)
Gary Hart (former Dem. pres. candidate)
Lowell Weicker (former CT governor)
Ed Koch (former Dem. NY mayor)
Jerry Brown (former CA Dem. governor)
Douglas Wilder (former VA Dem. governor)
and others...
All of these failed while Rush, Hannity, Oliver North, Drudge, Michael Reagan, Oreilly, etc. are all rather successful. Everyone knows conservative talk radio blasts liberal talk radio out of the water (ratings wise). Seems there isn't a market for liberal talk radio. Maybe the libs are banging their heads to rock-n-roll stations all day instead of expanding their heads listening to talk radio? Maybe the lib hosts are not interesting or cannot entice listeners? I really don't know, but I wish there were more liberal hosts on the radio for prespective. Of course there's always the taxpayer funded NPR for the liberal view of things - they don't need to actually show a profit, so it's easy for them to stick around. They'll get a big, fat liberal budget next year no matter what.

Many hosts? Really. Which ones? Rush certainly hasn't been wasting much time on Moore's latest work of fiction. I'm curious who you have been listening to.

I still believe that the Bush brothers will steal Florida again

[/ QUOTE ]
Name one credible tally of the electoral votes that shows Gore won in 2000. No offense, but here's a cup of hot reality: there aren't any. Granted, Bush won Florida by a tiny margin - a couple of hundred votes. This was confirmed by a recount, an automatic recount (required by FL law) and after all of the absentee ballots were counted. So how exactly did the Bush brothers steal Florida? Oh yeah, Gore also tried to disallow military absentee ballots in an obvious attempt to dwindle GWB's votes just a little bit further so Gore could squeek out a dishonest win. Talk about trying to "steal" votes...and from service members...

Note also that Gore won New Mexico by 366 votes, but GWB didn't immediately call the attorneys to challenge the result. Now Kerry has a trial attorney for a running mate...should be an interesting election indeed.

Some facts they fail to mention:

75,000 African-Americans were purged from the vote register before the election. The company that did the purging knew that it was flawed. People were turned away from the polls because they had a name similar to some other convicted felon, or for other reasons.

The largely white suburbs had error checking machines which people could test their completed ballots with. If it was in error, they were given new ballots and another chance to vote correctly. The largely black areas did not have this machines and ballots with errors where simply cast out.

So when you eliminate 75,000 black voters off the top, then throw out more black votes a few percentage points higher than white votes, Bush squeaks in by a few hundred votes.

I don't think this was a Jeb Bush thing. I think it was a racial thing, with the black vote largely Democratic and Palm Beach is largely Republican, So Bush supposedly "won".

Michael Moore has made millions of dollars trashing capitalism. Big deal.

It's free speech. It's free enterprise. Sure the liberals ignore the fact that he cooks the data to fit his conclusions. So what?

Just remember, he does it for one reason - to make Michael Moore a rich man. I may disagree with him. I may think he's an idiot. But hey, he's got a shtick and it works. He's no different than Rush.
