Regardless of the specific game, Sklansky TOP is indispensable.

Re: Do you have a favorite book for NL cash?
"Nolimit and potlimit poker" by Reuben and Ciaffone is really great. This is this kind of book which you read first time and say : "WTF ? its all too obvious", you read it second time and you see some nuances and some interesting things, you read it third time... and you see how less you knew about the game.
Best wishes |

Re: Do you have a favorite book for NL cash?
Don't forget "Zen and the Art of Sucking Out" and "Zen and the Art of Flopping Sets."
Seriously though, isn't HOH for tournaments? Be careful applying tournament strategy to cash games. |

[/ QUOTE ] a lot of his stuff is still really good for the early betting rounds. also, a lot of live games these days play like tourneys (<40BB's to start) due to the structures that cardrooms like (lots of action, little player overlay). fim |

Re: Do you have a favorite book for NL cash?
HOH vol 1 is for early tourney play, M=50-100, so the same basic thought can apply to cash. Ive actually done quite well on cash just with concepts from this book, but I am wanting to expand.
vol 2 is a different beast - tourney's only. |
