Burning more money?
Villain in this hand seems like the type to make some loose calls on the flop. I had played one big hand with him where I raised a (seemingly) weak turn stop'n'go after I raised preflop and continuation bet. He called and moved in on the river when I blanked. He seems the type to take off cards on the flop with weak holdings like middle pair, but play straightforward with v strong hands. On the river I put him on something like QJ, or possibly a draw.
EDIT: Villain is fairly tight preflop, around 26/6 or something. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 4 handed) converter SB ($458.10) BB ($512.01) Hero ($401.80) Button ($216.70) Preflop: Hero is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Re: Burning more money?
Noone's responding anyway.
For me, JTo is an ok playable hand, I'd rather play it in position, and I'd rather have the momentum on the flop. Raising hopefully folds out the button, and lets me play it against the blinds with the iniative and position. It's a good spot. Limping in, having the button overlimp and then seeing a flop threehanded without momentum or position is not as attractive. And if button raises I obviously have to fold. |

Re: Burning more money?
i def check turn against opponent you describe. He's the type who pays off and you're straight will be somewhat disguised anyway. This turn could only be better against super tight nutpeddler, or maybe just not bet, i dont know.

Re: Burning more money?
Standard LAG. If this guy is in the game keep him on your right. He'll probably crush you anyway, but on your left he'll murder you, and your wife, and your kids, etc.

Re: Burning more money?
Is there a case for making your buff on the end $200. Obviously you lose some FE because you are betting him less chips, however you get at least some of that back because your bet looks less desperate and more like it wants a call. Because your hand is so terrible if he pushes then you can fold despite the great pot odds because you've lost, but you've saved 20bb making the same play.

Re: Burning more money?
I like this play. Sounds like you've got a good read. I'm guessing villain will fold here enough times to make this play +EV. You're not going to win all of these, but when you get caught they'll pay you off when you hit. Good LAG play.
