Post in Forum Suggestions about profanity in advertising
This post in the Forum Suggestions forum actually makes a good point. The word b u l l s h i t is censored. We don't allow people to circumvent the filter by using characters and such. Yet this ad does exactly that. I think we either need to uncensor the word or ask them for a different ad. Otherwise it's pretty hypocritical.

I agree that I would just uncensor the word in this case.

I think wanker should be [censored] as it means [censored] in the UK.

[ QUOTE ] I think wanker should be [censored] as it means [censored] in the UK. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. [/ QUOTE ] Having checked with the accepted colloquial definitions of wanker at http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wanker I accept my thinking was incorrect. I must have a hang-up and I have decided to attend therapy. |
