Frustrating HU match
I ended up heads-up with someone at a micro table and got a frustrating run of cards. I stayed aggressive, but he just hit everything. His entire strategy seemed to be raise most pots and call/raise the rest to the river. I couldn't just sit there and let him keep stealing so I had to play back at him. Is heads-up against a complete maniac just a luck fest?

Re: Frustrating HU match
when to play back is kinda key . . . its not a luck fest per se, but over the course of a buy-in- 25 bb or so, it can be. some sites have HU tables if you're interested in playing more (stars comes to mind). one session shouldn't drive you crazy, so don't let it.

Of course other factors can yield a fold, but I'm just wondering if you are routinely throwing away a small pair. |
