Default Baby Pair and Baby Flush Draw - Turn decision

This is literally my first hand on the table, so no reads EXCEPT that I recognize the handle of the button and I have the sense that he knows what he's doing.

Party Poker 2/4 7 handed

Hero is BB and is dealt 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

UTG calls, MP1 calls, 2 folds, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks.

<font color="blue">(5 players, 5SB)</font>
Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets</font>, UTG calls, MP1 calls, <font color="red">Button raises</font>, <font color="red">Hero 3-bets</font>(????), UTG calls, MP1 calls, <font color="red">Button caps</font>, all call.

<font color="blue">(4 players, 10.5 BB)</font>
Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero.......??????????

Do you want to pay 3 big bets to see a river? With 2 other players raising on the flop, this scenario is likely. Let these players bet your draws for you and hope to see the river for no more than 2 big bets.

I'd check and see what develops. With two other callers, I'm doubting your flush draw is good.

OK...

Hero checks, checked around to Button, who bets. Hero ....... ?????

Assuming you're still around, what's your river play?

Default Re: Maybe I\'m to Aggro??

I raised. I put the button on a flush draw and thought that my pair of fives might have him beat but not the other guys, and if so I wanted them out. Bad thinking? I figured that two cold would be hard for them to call, but that if I was wrong about the button being on the flush draw and he 3-bet it then I could call and my heart outs were probably good.

The players in between folded, and the Button called.

The river was the 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Value bet, or check-call? If bet, fold to a raise?

I don't like your turn raise. But, based on the line you took, I think you bet the river.

Given your name, a name that I suspect has been well earned, you bet the river and YHIG.

Button could have QJ or a small set. Putting him on a flush draw is wishful. The sequence of events that you "envision" is highly unlikely, not impossible, but highly unlikely.

This was big time spewing, imho.

I would not bet in that spot(flop), you have bad position and to many opponents to win the pot with a bet. Worst case scenario is that you bet, get raised and by that make people fold while you are drawing
