Calling down AKs unimproved
Villain in this hand is 17/8/2.66. Flop seems standard, although I'd be interested in hearing if anyone prefers to check/call here. I'm mainly curious about people's thoughts on the turn and river here.

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
This may be weak tight, but i usally lay this down to the flop raise, if I had backdoor striaght or flush outs, I'd see the turn, but as it stands right now, I let it go.
Turn, I'd definately fold, River, I'd fold, now, allow the weak tight bashing to begin |

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
You have to bet the flop, and call the raise, first question is on the turn...he's pretty aggressive so it's possible he's pushing AQ or something, hoping you missed, too. I probably call him down as you did, expecting to lose to a middle pocket pair most of the time.

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
Flop is fine. My default play on the turn after getting raised on the flop with overcard and I don't have any draws is to fold.

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
He seems like a pretty tight player... since he re-raised preflop and post flop, i would think he'd be holding jacks or better.... best case scenario you're looking at is that he's holding AK as well and you chop. I think you fold this hand to his turn bet.

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
He didn't cap pre-flop. Hero 3-bet, villian called.
