Another KK Preflop Situation
PP NL 100 6 max. Villian's VPIP stat is 56%. No other reads. Is this a call or fold? Would the fact that he just called the 6 dollar raise give me any info here? This is the third KK hand I have had in the past two days in which I reraised and they went all in with decent size stacks.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter Hero ($169.05) BB ($114.3) UTG ($199.1) MP ($239.6) CO ($129.45) Button ($13.5) Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP raises to $6, 1 fold, Button calls $6, Hero raises to $20, 1 fold, MP raises to $239.6 (All-In), Button calls $7.50 (All-In), Hero folds. Re: Another KK Preflop Situation
Wrong forum dude.
FWIW I call. Most people aren't playing aces this fast. |

I think i'm going to throw a "wrong forum" in their too. Makes me feel special -- even though my 5/5 game barely makes it.

Re: Another KK Preflop Situation
Don't forget man, is this guy an Action Player, or is he tight???? KK is always vulnerable to an all in, and a fold isn't so bad as others might say, what is your image at this point, have you been the table captain running people over, or are you basically tight in your opponents eyes, You need the feel for the man, and the temperature of the table, then you can make a great "laydown", I'm not saying this was an automatic laydown, but if you can't lay down a hand at NL, then you need to take up another hobby, so good job, even if you layed down the best hand. Re: Another KK Preflop Situation
Wrong forum. But if you never fold KK preflop at Party you will not be far off. I think this is an easy call.

Re: Another KK Preflop Situation
Wrong forum stoopid... seriously though.. since I already posted it here.. If this is an easy call at $100, is it a call at 200, 400, 600, and 1000 too on Party Poker? Is it a call if it weren't 6 handed? Is it a call if both of the opponents had big stacks and were all in?
I am establishing that I have a monster hand when I reraise to $20 here after a raise and a call. Sometimes I feel really stupid when I call and see aces in this situation. Am I over thinking this? Never fold KK preflop? BTW, he showed JJ. The last calls that I remember with very similar preflop action have been AA, AJs, AA, QQ. |

Re: Another KK Preflop Situation
The only way you fold this is if you knew your opponant would never do this without AA. Every 24 time you go in with KK, you'll run into AA's once (and thats at a 9 player table). I saw a stat last night on the WPT tour that at a 6 handed table KK will run into AA's once every 55 times.
