Quickest way to clear bonuses on Stars?
Hi,
I made a deposit on Stars awhile back for their 25%/$150 max reload bonus. This is the first I've played on Stars. Well, I'm attempting to finish clearing the bonus now, and it's taking forever. Basically, I'm just looking for some advice on what is the most efficient way to clear bonuses on Stars, as I can't seem to get these FPP points racked up at a reasonable rate. I'm comfortable playing limit/NL/PL hold'em, NL tourneys, or possibly 7 stud. BTW, I prefer to play very low limits when clearing bonuses, and I wouldn't really want to go above 25c/50c NL or $1/2 limit. |

You may want to try SnG's. You get 6 FPPs for every dollar paid in fees, works out to better than 100% rakeback.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. (I wasn't sure how quickly sng's racked up the fpp's relative to these horrendously slow cash games)

However, for fees that are fractions of a dollar, Stars rounds up. For example you get 3 FPPs ($.60) for a $5.50 tourney. |

Even at $1/$2 Limit you're in for a long haul clearing a bonus at Stars. To acheive any kind of decent clearance rate you need to move up to at least $2/$4.

Re: Quickest way to clear bonuses on Stars?
I just cleared that bonus and played mostly SNG's and 1 or 2 tables of 1/2 limit on the side. Only if the pot reaches $15+ do you get a FPP for the hand at 1/2, so play the loose tables. On SNG's every one you play nets you points.
Hope that helps you out. |
