preflop cards on sng\'s
looking for opinions on this. fairly new to sng's -- i've played about 150 on party and stars, single table and 2-tables. mainly $30, a few $50's. I'm ahead, but not by a lot.
i've noticed the tendency of players to limp in on a huge variety of first 2 cards, not a lot of preflop raising. i try to stick to sklansky's chart on first 2-cards....but sometimes the cards don't fall in these quick sprints and i end up bleeding out waiting and waiting. so the question is....(except when all out bluffing)...how much do you stray from the chart on deciding which hands to play? thanks! |

Re: preflop cards on sng\'s
Tourney poker is a far far different game from your normal ring game, and the longer it goes the more different it is. I would recommend you pick up Sklansky's Tournament Poker For Advanced Players, it will help you out a lot and clear up a lot of these issues, especially with regards to starting hands.
