Default What\'s this * under my name?

Anyone know why I have an asterisk under my name instead of what it previously was (Journeyman)?

The new Mod in OOT has some sort of * rating for people who start stupid threads. He hasn't yet fully explained what the different number of stars means. He eventually bans people.

There are topics too stupid for an Other Topics forum? Good gravy.

A thread about a band is stupid? In OOT? News to me, sorry.

I didn't read your post, but since it was the only one in OOT I assumed it was the reason. PM astroglide.

Well, I'm presuming the part they found stupid was that you posted about a band that's legendary in the history of rock as though you'd just discovered them. Goodness knows my one microgram of underground rock street cred would probably double if I actually bought a VU album, so I'm hardly one to talk. But if I had to guess why someone found that thread stupid, I guess that would be the rationale.

But calling OOT threads stupid seems pretty silly in its own right, if you ask me. And most people who are part of this community without contributing are pretty obvious; marking their nicknames with stars seems a bit bizarre. Personally I'd PM someone if I were a moderator and found their threads less than beneficial, but I'm not and I don't.
