Re: Cards sign Encarnacion
Clark,
I've been waiting to hear from you about the Cards activity (or lack thereof) this offseason. Do you think there's a plan at all? Or is Walt getting caught napping on the job? Is Marquis a gonner? What's the plan? I can't see one. |

All the contending teams in that division have been total clusterfucks this offseason.
Brewers in 06. |

Re: Cards sign Encarnacion
59 runs scored on 145 hits, and 6 for 11 in base stealing kind of sums up his value, doesn't it? But between him and Pujols they'll average out to two very good players.

[/ QUOTE ] That's with Lowell, LoDuca, and Gonzalez and thier combined .370 slugging hitting behind him. Overall, this is a great signing by the Cards. He will replace Larry Walker at less than half the cost. On top of the 4.2 BRAR/$M he still has better than average speed, good range in the outfield, and a strong outfield throwing arm. The only thing you can say ugh to is that the deal if for three years. Even that's far fetched. |
