Default Is Fossilman a Professional!

Fossilman plays poker. Fossilman plays tournaments. Fossilman won gobs of cash playing tournaments. Fossilman hasn't won as much playing live. Fossilman has played more live hours than he has played tournament hours. Fossilman has won only ONE (THE ONE) big buy-in tournament. Fossilman has finished in the money in a few other big-buy in tournaments. Fossilman is out of touch right now and can't respond here. I know this, that is why I'm posting this thread.

Fossilman was a lwayer. Is a lawyer? Is not working as a Lawyer right now. Fossilman is now a proffessional poker player. Or is he? What makes Fossilman a professional poker player? Winning the WSOP? If so does that mean Chris Ferguson, Varkonyi and Moneymaker are professional poker players?

Does it matter? Are you jealous? Do you want to win the WSOP so you too can be considered a Professional Poker Player...by some?

It's so confusing. I hope Fossilman is a professional poker player. I like him.

His bankroll! He doesn't have to work at another job, probably, for the rest of his life. So his primary source of income is from poker. Seriuosly though...

Greg will continue to play, and post wins throughout his career. He played pretty much P/T before his win. Now he'll play far more often. And you'll see his name again, and again for years to come. He's always been a winning player.

As far as the others... I think the key to being a "professional poker player" and remaining one is to continue making a decent living at it. Ferguson, definately!. Varkoni, questionable. Moneymaker, time will tell.

Yes, I'm jealous, who wouldn't be. I'll get there too! Just gonna take a bit longer to build that bankroll.

Fossilman hasn't won as much playing live.

I wondering where this came from, as one of the main places Greg at least used to play at is Foxwoods, and that's the casino I regularly play at, and over the last few years even before he won WSOP, I saw him playing in the bigger games AND doing well. When you play at a place long enough you know who the great players are - he certainly was (and is) considered one of them.

Well, Fossilman won 5 million dollars+ playing tournaments. He most likely has not won that much playing live.

Why are you mentioning Jesus in the same breath as Varkonyi and Moneymaker? I think most will agree that he outclasses either one of these guys in any game any time. Gees show the man some respect.

Too easy if I just listed V and M. Besides I needed someone that might be in the same league as Fossilman at least in tournaments.

I've never seen Jesus play live poker. Maybe he does but he doesn't at Bellagio or any Casino I've been to when he was there. That's not to say he doesn't play well live.

If you look at his Tournament Record, one would have to conclude that he is pretty...damn good.
