Default Runner Runner Question

I am playing 100max nl in Windsor. Sitting on about $250. I have 8s7s in SB, UTG(just sat down) raises to 12 preflop and it is called by 2 players including me.

Flop-

2s 4s 8d

i check knowing that this could not have hit the raisers hand and hoping he will bet out. He does, he makes it $25 its to me and i raise to $75. He goes all in for a total of 100, 25 more to me i call it. He has Ad 10d. he hits runner runner for the flush. So im like wtf? there were like 3 other people saying it was a good play on his part. he says he is good if i only had 4 to the flush, why doesnt a set slow play enter his mind? How can this call be justified? not only by one player but by 3 others?

I hope you immediately bought back in and took all their money.

If not, I know a guy in the B&M forum who will soon be paying you a visit to deliver a kick in the nuts.

He didnt take my whole stack, he took a little less than half. So yeah i stayed in for about 5 hours and he eventually left with like $25. After the hand against me he called most of his stack away to me. Two of the guys that said his call was a good call busted out in an hour sadly it wasnt me taking their money. I left with $530.

Mr. Runner-runner has too much money and too few chromosomes, and you're lucky enough to be playing poker with him. There's nothing to complain about here.

Why are you complaining? The reason you made $430 is because these guys made plays like this. Which way do you want it?

Im not complaining. Re read...I asked how it was possible for the call to be justified. Is there some crazy book that says its ok to put your stack on the line with 2 overs?

Youre right, it was a sucker table, i agree. I was just wondering if anyone else felt like there was any reason at all to make the kind of play he did.
