Hello my 2+2 mentors,
Have you ever felt like you dropped into a pleasure palace? About once every 2 months a good game of *really* stupid players shows up. When you're playing in that game you can expect 15bb/100 easy. This is the story of how I found myself in such a game and screwed it up. I feel I screwed this hand up. I really need a leson in pot size control. What do you do with 4 cold calls? $3/$6 Blinds No Limit Hold'em - Seat 7 is the button Total number of players : 9 First hand online. The numbers after the stack sizes are the VP$IP / PFR Seat 1: UTG ( 34/19 )( $83.25 ) Seat 2: utg+1 (59/8.1) ( $134.15 ) Seat 3: UTG+2 (57/9.2) ( $233.8 ) Seat 4: UTG+3 (60/5.8) ( $699.8 ) Seat 5: MP1 (27/5.4) ( $1117.1 ) Seat 6: MP2 (54/5.4) ( $1330.5 ) Seat 7: button ( $620 ) 32/10 Seat 8: small blind ( $256 ) 62/5 Seat 9: Hero (18/9)( $600 ) Usually I buy in short but everyone here tells me to buy in full. small blind posts small blind [$3]. Hero posts big blind [$6]. ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Hero [ Kd Ad ] UTG (34/19) raises [$18]. utg+1 (59/8.1) calls [$18]. UTG+2 (57/9.2) calls [$18]. UTG+3 (60/5.8) calls [$18]. MP1 (27/5.4) folds. MP2 (54/5.4) calls [$18]. button folds. small blind folds. Hero raises [$70]. // Should I have raised more here?? 4 Cold calls!!! What do you think about raising to $120??? UTG 34/19 folds. utg+1 (59/8.1) calls [$58]. UTG+2 (57/9.2) calls [$58]. UTG+3 (60/5.8) folds. MP2 (54/5.4) folds. ** Dealing Flop ** [ 7d, 10h, Ac ] Hero bets [$280]. // Now I'm screwed i can't offer them bad pot odds. utg+1 (59/8.1) calls [$58.15]. UTG+2 (57/9.2) calls [$157.8]. ** Dealing Turn ** [ Jh ] ** Dealing River ** [ 2h ] ** Summary ** Hero shows [ Kd Ad ]. What do you guys think? |

There's no rule that says you have to reraise AK from the blinds.

was this a W? [/ QUOTE ] You mean W as in GWB? To be honest, I don't know what to do. 3bb raise and 4 cold calls. I'm sure there are lots of donk dead money bets in there, just look at the vp$ip/pfr of the callers. So if I'm ahead I want to punish the loose callers. But I don't know if I'm behind or not. If I reraise to $120 I guess it pot comits most of them. But then I throw up if the big stack pushes. |

If I reraise to $120 I guess it pot comits me. [/ QUOTE ] FYP. dont worry about the big stack re-raising, he just cold called with 3 people already in. There is absolutely zero chance he has you dominated... if he pushes, you call and take your chances against whatever middle pair hes holding. In my mind the only person with a possible monster here is UTG, and hes so short stacked i almost ignore him. Rather than making it $120 and being pot committed on any flop against UTG+2, i make it $250, or possibly push. |

If you are gonna reraise preflop you gotta boom it. Atleast the pot size.
