lead turn, fold to a raise [/ QUOTE ] Do you do this with QQ+ as well? If you have AA in this same situation (assume black aces), still fold turn? KK? QQ? |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, with AA,KK,QQ, you would lead the turn and fold to a raise. Villain, unless previously noted as postflop aggressive, will rarely raise on the turn with anything you can beat. JJ or AA are only overpairs at this point and only atypical villain will raise the turn with a hand like A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. |

I'm thinking maybe a 3 bet on the flop is in order. This board is ultra draw heavy, 7's-10's will get scared away by many turn cards, I don't think CO would cold call w/ 5x (possibly A5, but if he called w/ that cold, then he will have gotten all your $ anyway... and you know you'll take it back and more later). If 66 flopped a house, congratulations- move on.
I don't like the river push because only a hand that beats you will call. I say 3 bet the flop. |

Isn't a push OK even if I know he will only call with a better hand? Let's assume I think he will only call with a Flush or a 5, and theres 1:1 odds that he has one of those two hands. Im risking 30 to win 40, so the odds are 4:3 in my favor.
AZK (or Reef), if I lead turn and just get called, whats my plan for the river? Bet out 10-15, and fold to reraise (for another 15 which would be his all in)? Thanks for the replies -Grant |

[/ QUOTE ] I would probably check the river if he called my turn bet. Give him a chance to bet/bluff a worse hand, lose less when he has you smoked. Betting 10-15 and the folding for another 10-15 is pretty bad, make sense? |

That river push is not a good idea.
I also lead turn fold to a raise against most players. If they call the turn I check and then call a reasonable bet. Keep it small here. There's no reason to try to get your stack in the middle. |
