I felt that flop check-call may scare him more then standard lead...then I dont know what happened but I managed to get to river. Is it standard river push? given how I / he played the hand? |

Re: River?
when pulling [censored] like this i like a turn lead to represent the queen. Looks so obvious which is what is great about it. By the time you get to the river, a lot of people talk themselves into a call.

Re: River?
Is this really a river push? I tend to play the opposite way, bet the flop, give up/reconsider the turn.
Doesn't thebank 8 table? So river is basically a bluff that doesn't make too much sense? |

Re: River?
If hero is gonig to call the river, which is likely given stack sizes, why not push himself and possibly force a laydown from 99? AK?
What would you guys do on flop/turn? it seems to me that leading flop is standard, but it leaves us open to too much. Azk, what would you advocate here? |

[/ QUOTE ] Look at the board on the river. Now look at it again. 95% of the time villain is playing the board, so a bluff doesn't have much downside. I like the river push. |
