How would you play this?
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 max, 8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx
Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 raises, 2 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, SB calls, Hero calls. Turn: (8.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero checks, UTG+1 bets, SB calls, Hero calls. River: (11.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero checks, UTG+1 bets, SB calls, Hero calls. Final Pot: 14.50 BB The preflop raiser is not playing good cards off the bad and has taken a few beats which left him raising PF a lot. Since I was in the BB I decided to limp this one. Flop is great but I have the lowest flush possible. The three bet screames higher made flush or Ah and expecting one more before the river. Should I have been more aggressive? |

Re: How would you play this?
I think you should have been more aggressive on the flop and turn. Then if it looks like he's not backing down, re-evaluate. Many donks will 3 bet this flop with the A of hearts. Especially if he's an aggressive donk.
Cap flop and bet into him on the turn and see how he handles it. If he calls, he's probably drawing. a raise may mean he has a made flush. If raised, I'd call down. |

Re: How would you play this?
i would fold preflop, but i'd play 54s there.
anyway, i like just calling the flop 3-bet. turn was a good card for you, and this guy is likely to bet all hands he 3-bet on the flop. AK has a straight, AA/KK/QQ will definitely bet as well. so check raise and trap the other dude. |

I was guessing that the PF raiser was on tilt and that I could extract a lot of money with a straight or flush. Then I hit the flush and didnt extract the money. Thats why I wanted a different line. I agree. so the line should be, Call the flop, check raise the turn if another heart doesnt come out? Bet the river if another heart doesnt come out? Greg |

Re: How would you play this?
You can't put anyone else on a flush yet. Since you do have it, you should have capped the flop.
I'd probably try for a check-raise on the turn and bet out on the river. |

Re: How would you play this?
if your not capping that flop, it's only because you are going to check raise the turn.
