Re: short stacks can go to hell
Whenever an unknown player joins the table short I put them on the following hand range: AA-TT AK-AJ KQs.
They don't have the odds to call raises with SC and small PP. |

I usually put them on ATC unless they go allin preflop or something, then it's 55+ KJo+

Whenever an unknown shorty joins the table short I never put them on the following hand range: AA-TT AK-AJ KQs. They don't have the odds to call raises with SC and small PP, but thats all the seem to play. [/ QUOTE ] FYP You should fold to this flop, since his minraise with how much he has left behind says he doesn't care too much what you have. BUt I usually choose this answer instead: [ QUOTE ] i go allin edit - i also give far too much action to the ppl who play a short stack [/ QUOTE ] But it doesn't matter too much cause I'm usually the one who gets it back anyways. |

Re: short stacks can go to hell
I push....Most short stacks do not play the type of drawing hands such as T9s, etc, that would have a flush here except AK or maybe AQ.
The only set he could have is JJJ, unless he is an idiot without regard for odds at all. Him having a Jack or 2 "overcards" with a flush draw are most likely in my book. If he is an idiot and would call your raise with 77 or 88 or a SC then he could easily be pulling this garbage with Top Pair and I still call. Unless I read him as a nut peddler, I push. The donkey thing just makes it easier. |
