Very confused on PLO
Here's why, I have been railbird'n it on a few sites.
Pot is $5 and next guy bets $9, the pot is $5, how is he able to bet $9? I made sure my eye weren't playing tricks on me. 1/2 PLO, 1/2 blinds and one guy came in early with his $2, making pot $5, fold, fold, UTG+2 bets $9! I saw a huge over bet on another site in a PLO tournament, pot was say $350, the next guy bet $800. Please explain... TIA! >TW< |

Re: Very confused on PLO
If you want to raise, you first call. Then you add on top of that your pot size raise.
[ QUOTE ] 1/2 PLO, 1/2 blinds and one guy came in early with his $2, making pot $5, fold, fold, UTG+2 bets $9! [/ QUOTE ] So UTG+2 has to call the 2, making the pot 7, so he can then raise 7. 2 (the call) +7 (the raise) = 9 total. A simpler example: Pot size is 1 unit. Player bets 1, you can then make it 4 total. |
