Stars $27 A9o in SB >12bb 5 players left
Stars $27 sng 5 players left. UTG and UTG+1 with ~1.5k both and button with 5k fold to hero in SB with 2.5k and A9o. BB has around 3k. Blinds are at 100/200.
What do you do here with A9o? Or with other good but not great hand like JT or K9. I'm generally raising to 600-800 willing to take the pot preflop, but I wonder if this is just making the pot big with not so great hand out of position. I don't like raising to less than 600 because BB will have then nice odds to call with huge range. Pushing seems like a good move too? |

isn't hero's stack size too large to push this with 100/200 blinds?

12.5BB. A push would be fine, and almost certainly +$EV, but maybe there's a way to make more +$EV long-term here. I don't know.
Ok, forget the 'almost certainly', it's unexploitable. |

Push/complete/fold in that order. Which really depends on how I think BB will react and how active I've been lately. Not much read on BB and I haven't been either too active or inactive lately, and it's probably Push 75, complete 15, fold 10.
