Default 15/30 Live

Yesterday I spent 6 hours in the Bellagio 15 after meeting Orel Hershiser who was in the 20 O8 game, really nice guy.

I found myself a super juicy game.

3 limps to me in the CO and I raise w/
8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

The any 2 in the Big Blind calls, all limpers call.

5 to the flop for 2 small:

3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

The any 2 BB bets out, a loose erratic player in EP who open raised in EP w/J4o an orbit earlier raises all fold to me.

I call 2.

BB calls.

Turn: Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Checked to me and I bet, BB calls, EP now folds.

River: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked to me and I check.

Eh, maybe not standard but on every street you have three options and two of them suck. If anything, the river is the closest, IMO.

Limping preflop should, at the very least, be considered.

I think the only time I wouldn't raise here is if the button will always play. Otherwise, I think a raise is goot.

wouldnt you want more callers for the set since your guaranteed 3?

Or is the equity 88 holds compared to the crappiness of the players calling worth the raise in this case?

If they were more TAGish would you make the same raise?

What's the lowest pair you raise in the CO with 3 limpers and a BB that will always call?

Five handed (BB will call with any two)? I think I limp more often than I raise -- even with position (assuming the limpers have any pre-flop standards at all).

What are the advantages/disadvantages of limping/raising here? I think that is a very interesting discussion.
