I actually raised preflop then didn\'t bet postflop
This one is a rarity. Haven't played too much with either player, but: SB seems decent, a bit loose passive preflop but is playing well postflop. The BB is slightly loose and passive preflop, but my only real read on him postflop is that he's a chronic slowplayer. He's already waited till the river to check-raise with the nuts 3 times. I've won 7 of the last 15 hands with only a few showdowns, so it may appear as if I'm running over the table.

I bet the flop here, but seeing that you didn't, I think you have to bet the turn.

I bet the flop here, [/ QUOTE ] Who doesn't? I couldn't believe it was me who played this hand when I saw it afterwards I believe my thinking on the turn was that my hand is now so transparent, I'm just asking to get played off the best hand/check-raised by a weakish hand that realizes I don't have much, and I don't think I can call if that happens |

Re: I actually raised preflop then didn\'t bet postflop
I don't think you get checkraised too much in that spot. For one thing, they are often scared of your flop check. The bet is for value/protection and you can take free showdown.

Re: I actually raised preflop then didn\'t bet postflop
FWIW I don't think anyone's scared of my flop check, they've seen me fastplay many good hands, including back to back flopped sets just a few hands ago
But you're right I probably won't get checkraised often |

A turn bet will usually take it down. |

bet the turn - if they call, free showdown, if they c/r - fold

Re: I actually raised preflop then didn\'t bet postflop
I thought I could induce a river bluff here... maybe that's just getting greedy

Re: I actually raised preflop then didn\'t bet postflop
For the record, have you ever seen anyone bluff bet the river in this game?
Im spewing lot of chips on river calls like this in prima 15 30 and 10 20. And still I cant remember even one hand(excluding the one "mrbu..." who I played 20 40 headsup yesterday) where someone would have bet the river with less then an ace-high. |
