Niagara Casino
Anybody here know any details or been to the Niagara Casino (casinoniagara.com)?
I'm heading up that way over the weekend from NJ. I'm really only interested in small stakes NL, Omaha, or Omaha 8. Anyone have specifics on cash tables limits or daily tournaments? Thanks p.s. - no, I'm not looking for home games, won't have enough time. |

i hear that casino niagara has greater mix of limit. and people are very, very positive on seneca across the border in the USA. |

Re: Niagara Casino
You can walk across the bridge or take a cab. In the Fall/Winter up there though if the winds blowing and over the falls it can be kinda nippy [and get wet from the mist too]

Re: Niagara Casino
This has been posted before you can search BUT I will give the quick and easy
Fallsview (AKA new Canadian Casino) - "Highlimit" gaes. 95% NL 5/5 5/10 and 25/50 sometimes theres a 25/50 limit game going, or a 10/20 , bring a large bnakroll for the big NL there maniacs but if you can handle the swings you'll make a small fortune Casino Niagara - (Old Casino) - "small stakes" 1/2 2/5 NL action, 3/6 and 4/8 limit . No Omaha Hi or 8OB Seneca (My Choice, but im Biased) - mixed, they have a 5/10 NL [500 max) 2/5 and 1/2 games. The get an Omie 8OB game (3/6 with a kill) on weekends. also lower limit action upto 4/8 almost never a higher limit game going (though I beg) Also 1-5 Stud . They also sometimes get a big NL game going (every Tues and Thursday some Saturdays) witch is 10/20 No Max. If you want to paly this game call them about 2 hours in advnace and tell them. What they will do is call the big players for you and maybe get a game going [Not to worry you WANT them to call] On the RARE occasion they been playing Pot limit Omie too. If your an american I say play at seneca so you don't have to convert your money back and forth , since money is almost equal now adays you pay for the conversion which makes the rake feel like a tip |

Re: Niagara Casino
Thanks for the low-down. On www.casinoniagara.com they have a virtual walk though that claims to have Omaha, Omaha Hi-Low, and also 7CS. Of course, it looks like a fairly small poker section, so that's probably unrealistic.
I hope I can find some maniacs to play against! |

Re: Niagara Casino
just remember Casino Niagara is Low Limit maniacs, fallsview High limit maniacs. They provide a bus from either casino to the promise land

Re: Niagara Casino
It will take you all of 10min (only way it will take longer is if you get held up at the border for some reason) to walk across the Rainbow Bridge. Its a STRAIGHT walk from the bridge to the casino right down Niagara St.
Definetly the better choice. I'd say the 1/2 NL tables are 3/10 LAG and 5/10 weak aggeressive. 2/10 weak tight. A really good mix of players. For example..last night I played 1/2 $100 max NL for 1.45 hours. Sat down and to my right there were 5 stacks of $500 or more, and 1 stack of about $1200. Those guys had been sitting there for all of about 3 hours to accumulate those stacks. By the time I left, all of that money had switched hands with 3-4 new players. The guy with the $1200 stack cashed out about $650 or so. He wasn't too happy about that! These people just dont know how to play with a stack in front of them. They get chips and think they can push people off hands, or they think they'll always hit their OE straight draw and call your all-in on the turn for your remaining $85. Try Seneca, I think you'll like it! (and the free drinks) ps...just incase, bring your Birth Certificate and Drivers Liscense with you. Less hassle that way. |
