Nominations for Best \"Rock\" Album of 2005
It's almost that time...
I'll begin. As much as no album has ever affected me as much as Illinois. In fact, I doubt I will ever like an album more than that. I have to say that overall, the best album that came out in 05 is The National - Alligator. Et tu? |

Well, I'll go ahead and say Illinois then, cause I can't think of anything better.

Not sure what qualifies as rock anymore but Beck's Guero has to be on the short list.

Re: Nominations for Best \"Rock\" Album of 2005
Illinois was excellent. Also loved Blueberry Boat, though I can see why some people hate the Fiery Furnaces. Demon Days and the new Franz Ferdinand were great too.
Very disappointed by Repulsion Box, the first full-length from Sons & Daughters. Their EP was excellent, but the new album basically shows that they only have one song archetype. It's a good song, but I don't need 18 versions of it. |

The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike should also be considered.
Edit: As should Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better. |
