AA at 2k NL
I have never seen villian before. On the turn, I pondered his minraise. Mostly I was deciding what I would do on a club river. After about 10 seconds I decided that I would check raise all-in if a club hit the river, because I thought it was likely enough he would bet. At the same time, I had trouble figuring out what it looked like he had. Big pair, or flush came to mind. It didn't look like a small flush because of his small raise. A set is also possible, but I think he would play it a bit faster or at least bet more with 3 clubs on the turn, right?

Re: AA at 2k NL
turn is fine and pretty standard, bet the river. 350-400 is nice.

Re: AA at 2k NL
is it to block a full pot bet from somebody bluffing the flush and also to price myself in for a cheap river redraw should my opponent be passive and not raise his flush here?

Re: AA at 2k NL
Hi Justin,
I like the preflop, flop, and turn play. On the river I would prefer a bet of about $600. Especially since you say he is unknown. If he has a flush, he will pay you off, but if its medium or smallish, he may well check behind you on the river. I'd just hate to see him check behind here. Suerte, Jonathan ps. Good Luck on the move to California! |

Re: AA at 2k NL
bad place to induce a bluff, IMO. I like a underbet better than a check and feel it accomplishes the same thing, but I like potish bet best.

Re: AA at 2k NL
Agreed. What hand is going to fire on that river?
