the under fullboat
I was in a hand recently at a local cardroom in ca.5-5 no limit 500 max buy-in 3 players in hand, button($1,500),me first pos(sb)($1,200) and utg($1,100)
utg limps-everyone folds to button who makes it 35,I call (44)def borderline but running good and could double through with set. utg calls flop j4j i check, utg checks, button bets 150 i smooth call, utg makes it 400, button folds, i move all in, button calls fast, final board j4jk7 me(44) utg (j7) Obviously i lose almost my whole stack.utg was a gambler for sure but any thoughts on my play of this?? thx |

You're obviously a poor player for getting outdrawn.

everyone folds to button who makes it 35,I call (44)def borderline [/ QUOTE ] What's borderline about that? 35 represents 3% of UTG's stack. Sure, being OOP sucks, but that's an easy PF call. Also, your post as others have said is just a bad beat post, but I would lead out on the flop. Nevermind results, with these stacks, doesn't leading out make more sense? |

Re: the under fullboat
Seriously, what were you thinking? Moving all in getting almost 2-1 on your money when you're 77% to win the hand? UTG made a bad call for sure, calling the all-in with a ragged J, but he outdrew you. You got your money in when you were a big favorite and there's nothing else you can do. You'll win this the majority of the time, so keep doing it.

Re: the under fullboat
if you dont want to get outdrawn offer to tell the UTG gambler with J7 that you have a full house and will show if he folds his jack lol.

Re: the under fullboat
My thoughts? Get more money real fast, 'cause you're not going to leave that table until it breaks.
Nice job getting the demented idiot to go all-in with top pair seven kicker. If you can keep doing that you have a long, lucrative career ahead of you. Not all morons are quite so obliging. |
